The slow process of Animation!

We have workt day and night with the animation now for two days. Haven't had any time to update the blog. But we are making good progress! Completed 3 scenes wich consists almost of 50 sec meterial, slow and steady wins the race!

We are very happy about the way the scenery looks, the perspective has really worked out great so far. Objects decreases in size as they come closer to the horizon, making it look like a very big set.

We have hade some trouble with the leaves in the tree. In some shots there are branches of leaves covering the characters and its making it very difficult do animate. But Marcus moves smooth like a ninja with hands steady as a rock and so the small movement there is, we hope to correct in the computer.

The two latest pictures are from one of the key-scenes where the main character falls in love from his tree. Now we better get back to work and we'll finish up by nine tonight when we will take the weekend of and then next week we will try to continue as much as we can.

Well well isn't it fun to blogg!

The new animationfilm is in very much progress. The film with the working title "The boy who was afraid of the ground" written by talented Johan Storm, are set for starting shooting by tomorrow and the here is a picture of the background-setting:

Apart from the animation me, Andreas, just screend "Mixtape 307" (Blandband 307) at Göteborg International Film Festival, and got great responses with some Bloggings and some nice comments after the screenings too. Someone also asked for a DVD so he could show his teenager kids. Later I will also show my film at BUFF, the Children and Youth Film Festival in Malmö. That will be a lot of fun too! We are gonna send some films to SVT to, and hopefully we will get some of our films shown.

Well this is Marcus, during the pre prep of the new animation film. Tomorrow I'll upload some pictures from the editing of the Ane Brun-video I've been working on lately and of course some pics from the animation. Greetings!

Love Andreas

One Post a month, isn't that good is it? But well at least were not writing because we are working a lot, maybe too much?

This weekend I, Andreas, was at the novemberfestival, which in swedish is the biggest non-professional festival for kids under 26. I felt too experienced, too into the business to be there but it was a great a lot of fun, and though I didn't win anything I met some new people and got a bunch of inspiration. I'm most sad about all the good films that didn't win anything, and all the bad films that got a lot of other prices. Maybe next year they should not take someone with total lack of passion for films, it could be a good idea to take someone who appreciate all kinds of films. I'm not bitter at all!

So Oskar finished the Danko Jones-video, and you can see it on YouTube:'

This is the version the band wanted, we had made another version at first, but we made a compensation for what we both wanted and the result is this, it turned out pretty much how we wanted it to turn out.

Right now we are trying to develope a lot of projects both in production and in writing, so right now there are no planned new films. We still have the secret project and that is supposed to be done within two weeks, feels great, I think it will turn out really good, and hopefully we will all have jobs in the spring.

That's it for now, on Saturday me and Oskar will se the films Princess and Science of Sleep, hopefully that will be a inpirational experience!

Love.

Well my dear friend Mikael reminded me about the update of this blogg, I don't know how it will develope in the future, maybe we should write it in swedish instead, I don't think there too many of our fans from abroad, reading it anyway... well some news are added.

1. We're working too much.
2. We're making a video for Danko Jones!
3. The super-secret project is about to be relieved quite soon.
4. In two weeks we will finish the short "Mixtape #307"
5. Andreas just finished writing a 30 min - script for a competition.
6. All the projects we were to finish this autumn, which are not done yet, has again been moved ahead.. maybe we will never finish those projects, and that makes me a a little sad.

Well. Oh well.

Finally updating again, well it has been some tough weeks with planning and shooting but the raw-material turned out very well and we're very pleased with what we've accomplished. Everyone did more than I ever could hope for and I hope I'll get a chance to work with the team again!

In the screen showing the lead-actors, Jonna Karlsson and Kristoffer Berglund.

I've almost finished capturing the material into the computer and I'm also working on a short teaser just for fun and to have something to show curius people. We're using Avid for the first time so that will be a experience and a good lesson to learn, Right now it is a little slow but I hope I'll learn it quite soon so I can work faster.

A still-picture from the opening scene of the film.

Me and Oskar are partly working on some own projects and still we're developing a new project which still is quite secret. I hope we can reveal it soon with a happy smile. Other news is that we've got a small office-location in Sthlm.

Hugging.

Well better get back to work soon. I'm very excited about it all and it seems like we're gonna have som terrific music as well! Great.

Over and out!
Andreas.

Well some new pictures from the film, we are right now working on the last details on the sound and then we will have a screening later tonight.

The first picture from "Afgrunden" this is the so called "abyss".

I want to go home soon, I have a lot projects and happenings which I really look forward to, so i long for sweden, this island is too small.

This is a fast flashback sequence from the film. Well that's that, better get back to work or something.

And yeah that's right Hard Joe won 3 prices out of 4 possible at NUFF in Tromsoe and it got a nice motivation for the win of Age Group B, check it out at: http://www.nuff.no/english/index.htm

And another thing. It seems like we're gonna get some fine music for "Blandband #307" (Mixtape #307): Robert Svensson, Bobby Baby, Le Sport, Melpo Mene and today we also spoke to Talking to Drake about using their music in future projects and they were positive to that, so it feels great!

Right now I am placed on the Forese Islands attending a summerschool. Right now we are in the last phase of the postproduction and we are working on the sound of our main project. The film is recorded in Danish and is an old story which I wrote for Mikael Bundsen some time ago, but which I've compressed down to 4 minutes. I think the end results is good after time and that it only could be 4 minutes, but it's bad that much of the films strength is gone. But I hope I someday will do the original :P. Well pictures then:

This is our main actress, Julia, who is really talented and whom I would love to work with again.

Friday night with a Mads Mikkelsen look-a-like!

We have been exposed in both TV, Radio and in the newspaper - my crew. I guess we are the most representable team :).

Well what's Oskar up to, I really don't know, well I'll be back in Sweden on Sunday.

Härliga grejer!
